Vampire Hunter D is a multimedia franchise created by Hideyuki Kikuchi. The series follows D, a Dhampir who hunts vampires in a far future world.
Snake Women of Midwitch[]
While making his way through the catacombs of the Li Castle D stumbled upon three nymphs playing harps. They identify themselves as the Three Sisters, and while D is distracted he is wrapped up in their hair. The Three Sisters then transform and begin to absorb D's life force. He is able to survive their draining assault for some time before succuming to his own vampire blood, and in a rage he beheads all three sisters.
